Craftsman’s Special

This project has been so very special to me. The clients were referred to me through word-of-mouth and have become friends. Their mission was simple: give this gorgeous Craftsman-style home the garden it deserves. Before our total overhaul, the backyard was an eyesore that felt small and without possibility. With my new friends’ trust, I was able to surprise them by creating the illusion of more space by filling the backyard with a seemingly impossible amount of carefully placed plants. What resulted was not one, but two cozy outdoor living areas to host al fresco dining as well as fireside evenings. Several of my ideas seemed counter-intuitive, but paid off in a lush, welcoming, designer garden that perfectly blends the home into its surroundings. I am occasionally invited back to consult on ongoing care and maintenance and this garden never ceases to charm and delight! A career favorite for sure!
